Take part in painting a new community mural and a neighborhood clean-up + chalk-a-walk announcing the project!
Local Portland artist and former Indigo Arts Alliance Artist-in-Residence Pame Chevez will lead volunteers in bringing the mural to life. Working in shifts, volunteers will paint assigned sections, mix paints to keep colors vibrant, and help with cleanup — all under Pame’s creative guidance.
When not working on the mural, the other shift of volunteers will work with partner Rubbish Portland to walk the neighborhood, clean up trash, and use chalk stencils on neighborhood sidewalks to celebrate the mural themes.
